Britain's Coming Cultural Suicide

The London Times reported Monday (HT: WorldNetDaily) that British schools are changing their requirements.

SCHOOLS would no longer be required to teach children the difference between right and wrong under plans to revise the core aims of the National Curriculum.

Instead, under a new wording that reflects a world of relative rather than absolute values, teachers would be asked to encourage pupils to develop “secure values and beliefs”.

The draft also purges references to promoting leadership skills and deletes the requirement to teach children about Britain’s cultural heritage.

The proposals say that individuals should be helped to “understand different cultures and traditions and have a strong sense of their own place in the world”.

References to developing leadership in pupils have also been removed. One of the present aims is to give pupils “the opportunity to become creative, innovative, enterprising and capable of leadership”. This is due to be replaced by the aim of ensuring that pupils “are enterprising”.

You get the idea. This is Political Correctness run amok. But that's not all it is. It's the beginning of the end of British culture.

Sometimes we have to make it really simple for people. To those in the British school system leadership, let me remind you of a few things:

  • You already have, living in your midst, a population of Muslims who went through your school system, many of whom hate everything about the British cultural heritage.
  • Some of them have already attacked you.
  • These hate-filled people have “secure values and beliefs.” Those values and beliefs are against everything Britain has always stood for.
  • They "have a strong sense of their own place in the world.” That place is fighting against you.
  • Rest assured, they are “enterprising.” They developed their bombs, got them onto your transportation system, and detonated them.

Wake up, Britain! These bombers grew up under your school system's requirements to teach right and wrong. How many more bombers will you get when you drop that requirement, consider all cultures (even homicidal ones) equally valuable, and help these students develop a strong but warped sense of their place in the world?

The solid rock of British cultural heritage is vital to your survival. Do not grow weary in trying to instill it in the young people of your country. Without it, you have nothing but a swampy breeding ground for you own destruction.
